HIPAA Compliance Note

Care Connect Kids is an online marketplace that helps families find and connect with pediatric therapy providers (speech, occupational, physical, and applied behavior analysis therapy) (“Clinic(s)”). We provide a Clinic discovery, matching, and connection service only. We are not a healthcare provider and are not a “covered entity” under HIPAA, nor seek to access, store, or transmit protected health information (PHI) on behalf of a provider.

The information you share with us is used to help connect you with Clinics and is governed by our Privacy Policy. Some of that information — such as the type of therapy your child may need — is health-related, and we treat it with care.

If you are a health care provider, health plan, insurer, health care information clearinghouse or other entity that may be considered a “covered entity” under HIPAA or a “business associate” of a “covered entity” under HIPAA, you shall take all steps necessary to comply with HIPAA and shall be responsible for any applicable compliance with HIPAA. You agree that you will not provide Care Connect Kids with any protected health information (as that term is defined under HIPAA) and that Care Connect Kids is not deemed to be a business associate for purposes of compliance with HIPAA.
